Frequently Asked Questions

CITREP+

What is CITREP+?

Critical Infocomm Technology Resource Programme Plus (CITREP+) aims to support the workforce as we shift towards a tech-focused digital economy.

What do I need to know about submitting a CITREP+ claim application?

CITREP+ provides course fee support to eligible learners who complete eligible courses. There are 2 main steps to the CITREP+ claim procedure: 1. Acknowledgement All learners undergoing the CITREP+ programme must acknowledge their enrolment within 5 days of the enrolment or 5 days after the course start date, whichever is earlier. More information about this will be sent to you closer to the course start date. 2. Claim submission Learners must meet the necessary attendance and certification requirements to be eligible for course fee support. Claims must be submitted by the learner within 3 months of your exam date or 1 year from your course start date, whichever is earlier. After claim submission and approval, IMDA will disburse the course fee support directly to your bank account. As course providers, we do not have access to your reimbursement.

Am I eligible for CITREP+ course fee support?

CITREP+ course fee support is only eligible for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged above 17 who meet the following requirements: - At least 75% attendance - Obtain certificate by passing the examination - Submission of necessary claims within the stipulated deadlines, which are as follows: - 5 days from enrolment or course start date, whichever is earlier - 3 months from exam date or 1 year from course start date, whichever is earlier

How do I check my CITREP+ tier?

Please click "Determine my Subsidy Tier" above. You may also wish to contact us directly at connect@geninfinitiacademy.com so that a course consultant can get in touch to assist you regarding this.

When should I submit my CITREP+ claim application?

We strongly recommend submitting your claim application as soon as you meet all attendance and certification requirements, AND obtained all necessary paperwork as proof. This is to prevent unnecessary delays to the disbursement of your reimbursement.

Can I choose to forfeit CITREP+ course fee support in favour of other programmes, e.g. SkillsFuture Credits and NTUC UTAP?

Yes. Please inform us in writing via connect@geninfinitiacademy.com as soon as possible.

What if I did not manage to submit my CITREP+ claim within the stipulated deadlines?

Please submit it as soon as possible, then inform us via connect@geninfinitiacademy.com or WhatsApp immediately after.

Can I choose to prioritise other course fee support e.g. SkillsFuture Credits and NTUC UTAP over CITREP+?

We strongly advise against doing so. This requires approval from both IMDA and SSG, the funding bodies for CITREP+ and SkillsFuture Credits respectively. The overall course fee support may also be lower than expected. However, if you wish to proceed with this, please inform us via writing to connect@geninfinitiacademy.com. By doing so, you acknowledge the associated risks as stated above.

How does CITREP+ work?

CITREP+ course fee support is provided in the form of reimbursements to learners who successfully complete an eligible course. This is primarily because approval is contingent on the fact that the learner meets all attendance and certification requirements, which can only be verified after the completion of the course.

Does CITREP+ cover GST?

No. CITREP+ course fee support will be based on the course fee excluding GST.

I've obtained CITREP+ course fee support before. Will I be able to obtain course fee support under CITREP+ for Gen Infiniti Academy's courses?

Yes. There is currently no limit to the number of times you can obtain CITREP+ course fee support – as long as it is not a duplicate course. If, for instance, you wish to join both our CITREP+ eligible courses, i.e. the Wiley Certified Data Analyst and Unity Certified Associate course, you would be able to apply for CITREP+ course fee support for both.

SKILLSFUTURE CREDITS

What are SkillsFuture Credits?

SkillsFuture Credits are learning funds provided to encourage the working population to upskill and stay relevant in the digital age.

How does SkillsFuture Credit work?

You can think of SkillsFuture Credit as course fee support. Learners can use their SkillsFuture Credits to partially offset the course fee for approved courses (like our Wiley Certified Data Analyst or Unity Certified Associate courses). Once a learner submits a claim, the Credits are placed on hold until the course start date. They are then disbursed to the course provider. The Credits will not be disbursed directly to the learner unless otherwise specified. Course providers are not able to exchange Credits for cash, vouchers, or gifts.

Am I eligible for SkillsFuture Credits?

All Singaporeans aged 25 and above are eligible for SkillsFuture Credits. If you are turning 25 this year, you can start using your SkillsFuture Credits once they are added to your account, which will typically be by the end of the first quarter of the year.

How much SkillsFuture Credits do I have?

All eligible Singaporeans will obtain $500 SkillsFuture Credits. This is also known as the "opening credits", which do not expire. Eligible Singaporeans should have also received a top-up of the following: - Singaporeans aged 40 to 60: $1,000 - Singaporeans aged below 40 and above 60: $500 (as of 2020). The top-up Credits will expire by December 2025. If you have yet to use any Credits, your time-limited Credits will be used first. If you have already used your Credits and wish to double check the amount left, please log in via the SkillsFuture Credits website below: https://www.myskillsfuture.sg/services/sfc/login?action=claim After logging in, your credits will be displayed under your name at the top right hand corner.

When should I submit my SkillsFuture Credit claim?

We strongly recommend submitting your SkillsFuture Credit claim as soon as possible. In terms of the official deadline, SkillsFuture Credit claims can be submitted as early as 60 days before the course start date, latest by the course start date itself.

What if I forgot to submit my SkillsFuture Credit claim before the course start date?

Please inform us via connect@geninfinitiacademy.com or WhatsApp as soon as possible.

What if I choose not to use my SkillsFuture Credits?

If you have not indicated your intent to use your Credits, no further action is required. However, if you have previously indicated your intent to use your Credits OR have already submitted your claim but wish to cancel it, please inform us in writing via connect@geninfinitiacademy.com. Please note that you must complete the cancellation via the SkillsFuture Credits website as your SingPass is required.

Can I use SkillsFuture Credits to offset the GST portion of the course?

Yes.

NTUC UTAP

What is NTUC UTAP?

Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) aims to encourage NTUC members to upskill by providing course fee support.

How does NTUC UTAP work?

NTUC UTAP is provided in the form of reimbursements. Every year, NTUC members are eligible for: - Up to $250 for members below 40 years old - Up to $500 for members aged 40 and above They can use these funds to offset up to 50% of unfunded course fees.

Am I eligible for NTUC UTAP?

The following requirements must be met: - You must be an NTUC member, starting any time before the course start date until, at the very least, the point of claim submission - The unfunded course fee – excluding GST – must be at least S$20

- You must achieve at least 75% attendance and pass all certification examinations

- You must submit all applications within 6 months of the exam date

To check your membership status, please call NTUC at 6213 8008.

When should I submit my NTUC UTAP claim?

We strongly recommend submitting your claim application as soon as you meet all attendance and certification requirements, AND obtained all necessary paperwork as proof. This is to prevent unnecessary delays to the disbursement of your reimbursement.

What if I forgot to submit my NTUC UTAP claim before the deadline?

Please submit the claim application as soon as possible and inform us via connect@geninfinitiacademy.com or WhatsApp immediately after.

Can I choose to prioritise NTUC UTAP so that I maximise my course fee support?

No. Your SkillsFuture Credit usage will be reflected in the financial documents needed for claim submission, which means that the unfunded NTUC UTAP course fee will always be calculated after accounting for CITREP+ and SkillsFuture Credit. If you wish to maximise the use of your NTUC UTAP funding, we recommend adjusting your SkillsFuture Credit claim accordingly.
